Best Uses: Small Kitchen
I had been wanting to buy a small freezer to use because I live in an apartment which has a refrigerator with a quite small freezer. This freezer is perfect and stays at the temperature I select. When I shop I can buy a few more frozen foods without wondering if there's room to store them in it. I also have an ice cream freezer, so now I can put the freezer bowls in my EdgeStar freezer for 24 hours, then make 2 kinds of ice cream and have room to store both containers of the finished ice cream in my new freezer! I am happy with my purchase!

WHO MAKES FRIDGIDARE AND WHERE IS IT MADE?
According to one website, Electrolux is the current owner of the Frigidaire company, and on another website, supposedly it's In-Sink-Erator. A major appliance and/or TV company buys a smaller company to become a larger company, so now there are really only a few companies that make those products. As for where they are made, since people earn less money in Asian and some other countries, most manufacturing is done there, as I'm sure you are aware of.

Where to turn the dial to get the coldest temperature?
Since I don't know if you want the freezer temperature to be more than zero degrees, I'll tell you where I have the thermostat in my EdgeStar freezer set to keep it at zero degrees. When I first received my freezer, I plugged it in and set the dial about midway between min. and max. I put a freezer thermometer inside it, so I kept checking every little while, and the temp. was down to -20 degrees. I kept turning the dial up a little until it stayed at zero. The bar I grasp to turn & change the temperature is straight up & down now, with the word "min" just to the right. I hope this helps you to get the setting you prefer.
